First, you will choose your niche’.
After choosing your niche, you will need to come up with a domain name.
Choose something easy to pronounce. Something relatively short. Remember to keep it simple.
Second, you will choose your platform.
The options you have are:
A. WordPress.org – Free (https://wordpress.YOURDOMAINNAME.COM)
B. WordPress.com – Platform Free – DOMAIN NAME, you pay for and web hosting you pay for. (https://www.yourdomainname.com)
I use WordPress.com, My domain name is:
Third, you will choose your Web Hosting company
The most popular companies are Bluehost, SiteGround, etc…
I use INTERSERVER. You can get a web hosting package for about $5.00 a month and pay by the month.
The package I have has Unlimited Everything for $8.00 a month. I have unlimited web space, unlimited subdomains, etc…You also get tech support 24/7. The first month is only 1 Cent.
Interserver also backs up your site on a weekly basis. This is very important!
You may also want to install the plugin for dropbox, Free version so that you can back up your site as well.

While purchasing your web package, you will choose a domain name, choose a login name and a password.
After you purchase your web package, you will receive a link in your email to your C-Panel.
Now, you can call Interserver and let them know you would like to have WordPress installed on your web hosting package. WordPress is FREE for everyone.
You will receive a link to WordPress that looks like this:
https://www.YOURDOMAINNAME.com/wp-login.php along with your user id and password.
Your all set to go. Now the fun part!
Fourth, now you can customize your blog. Your blog will come with a default theme.

My theme came from Creative Market. It is a Free Theme from Blogging Babe.
Creative Market provides upscale images on a weekly basis and they also
run sales on the products they have to offer.
Just follow the instructions for installing your theme. Make sure you read the “Read Me” file after downloading.
Now you may also want to install plugins in your WordPress back office. You can exlore your different options. WordPress also has a pdf file to download, just click on the help file.
