When getting started with Etsy you will learn to add Sections in your store. In this section we learn how you can add what Etsy calls groups to your listing. This would mean that people can search for items that are like yours and find your item along with others that you determine are like it. In other words, what we can do here is we can click this link and we can add in a section title.
Once we have added that section, we can come back and we can add in another section. You will come back and you will notice then that you have two sections. You can continue to add sections so you can determine that your item is going to be like others, where it can be found.
This is found on the left hand side of your store. When someone clicks on the “Planners” link, all the planners in your store will show up.
Example:
Planners
Journals
Homeschool
Getting started with Etsy, You can also add tags. What you want to do with tags is to write in keywords that individuals might use in order to search to find your individual item. Now, you can use 13 tags to indicate what your item is. And Etsy does have a link here that will help you to find ideas for your tags. And you can use these questions in order to determine what your tags should be.
You can also use your best tool using keywords to determine what those tags should be. Once you write them in, you can click ‘Add’. What you will see is they will be added as you write them in. You will want to use all 13 of the tags. This helps Etsy place your product in the best possible group or section using the keywords you choose
You are ready to write in the price of your item. You are going to want to take into account what your shipping cost will be. You can add in free shipping or you can create a shipping fee for each or some of your items.
You can then write in how much you are going to make available. Now, if you have an inventory system, you can write in your shop keeping unit or SKU. You will want to write it here in this area.
