Choosing Your Blog Theme

Amazing Side Bar will walk you through the steps of setting up your blogs sidebar, header, footer, and widgets.

The theme you choose will usually give you an option for 1 -2 sidebars. The sidebars they are talking about going in these locations:

A. Upper header
B. Right/Left Sidebar
C. Lower Footer
D. Sidebar (Widgets)

Side Bar Options

Most of the time, the Sidebar is really the upper header and one other. They give you the option. The Widgets Bar is really the Sidebar on either the right hand or left-hand side.

I know this can be confusing, but hang in there and I’ll try to make this simple.

If you are creating the Sidebar (Header), then it will contain the primary pages for your blog site.

Primary Pages

A. About Me
B. Contact
C. Start A Blog
D. Resources
E. Privacy Statement

However, if you are creating your “SideBar” for the Right/ Left-hand side of your blog site, then your items will be placed in this order by using the “Widgets” features.

  1. Professional Photo
    2. Social Media Links -( Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  2. About Me – Short Form
  3. Recent Post
  4. Featured Post
    6. Categories – (Blogging Tips, Copywriting, Networking)
  5. Recent Comments
  6. Archives
    9. Instagram Feed
  7. Search Window
  8. Tags

Option 1

The Sidebar (Footer) is the Footer which includes other types of widgets such as:

The footer sidebar can also be called a footer widget.

  1. Calendar
  2. Tags
    3. Instagram Feed
  3. Photo

Option 2

It usually has an option for 3-4 sections on the Footer Bar.
